Persistent named among TIME's top Asia-Pacific firms

Wed, 11th Mar 2026

Persistent Systems has been named to TIME and Statista's Best Companies in Asia-Pacific 2026 list. It ranked ninth in the Professional Services category across the region and seventh in India.

Persistent also placed 46th among 179 Indian enterprises assessed, putting it in the top quartile nationally.

TIME published the list in collaboration with data firm Statista. The assessment covers three dimensions: employee satisfaction, financial performance, and sustainability transparency (ESG).

The ranking draws on employee survey data, financial disclosures, and ESG metrics. Statista applies a structured methodology across the dataset, according to the list description.

What was measured

Employee satisfaction is one pillar of the evaluation, based on survey responses about workplace experience. Financial performance is also considered, using public reporting and disclosures where available.

The third element is sustainability transparency, which assesses ESG reporting and the standardisation of comparable measures across companies in the region.

Persistent said sustainability transparency was its highest-scoring dimension. It cited reductions in carbon emissions and changes to ESG disclosure and governance practices.

Governance and standards

Persistent said its governance framework and operational approach have strengthened its position with stakeholders. It also noted its data privacy practices and diversity objectives.

Persistent holds ISO 42001 certification for AI management systems, which it described as part of its approach to responsible AI adoption.

The recognition comes as technology services companies in Asia-Pacific compete for talent and aim to show measurable progress in sustainability reporting. In professional and IT services, clients have increased scrutiny of supplier governance, data handling, and ESG disclosures.

Persistent described the ranking as a signal of consistent execution and progress. It said its strategy centres on AI-led digital engineering and enterprise modernisation.

Executive comments

Statista's research team highlighted employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and environmental transparency as areas where Persistent scored strongly relative to peers.
