Persistent named among TIME's top Asia-Pacific firms

Persistent Systems has been named to TIME and Statista's Best Companies in Asia-Pacific 2026 list. It ranked ninth in the Professional Services category across the region and seventh in India.

The ranking also placed Persistent 46th among 179 Indian enterprises assessed, putting it in the top quartile nationally. TIME publishes the list in collaboration with Statista.

How the list works

TIME and Statista assess organisations across three areas: employee satisfaction, financial performance, and sustainability transparency (ESG). The assessment draws on employee survey data, financial disclosures, and standardised ESG metrics.

Persistent provides digital engineering and enterprise modernisation services and is listed on India's BSE and NSE.

In the methodology, employee satisfaction is weighted alongside financial measures and reporting on environmental, social, and governance topics. Statista uses structured analysis across the three dimensions rather than a single measure of company size.

Sustainability scores

Persistent said sustainability transparency was its highest-scoring evaluation dimension. It also cited reductions in carbon emissions and ongoing work on ESG disclosures and governance standards.

The company pointed to data privacy practices and diversity objectives as part of its governance and workforce agenda, and reported ISO 42001 certification for AI management systems.

Persistent linked the recognition to its business performance and operating approach, describing its strategy as AI-led and focused on digital engineering and modernisation programmes for clients.

Growth and workforce

Persistent said the ranking reflected its growth and execution. It also highlighted learning and skills development, employee retention, and client satisfaction.

As a professional services provider, the business depends heavily on hiring and retaining staff with relevant technical skills. Services groups across Asia-Pacific have faced increased demand for AI-related work while managing cost pressure and a competitive market for experienced engineers.

The TIME and Statista list includes employers from multiple industries. Professional services firms appear alongside technology groups, manufacturers, and consumer brands.

Statista view

Statista cited performance across multiple dimensions, including employee satisfaction, revenue growth, environmental transparency, and sustainability.

It also highlighted carbon emissions intensity, linking Persistent's standing in the sustainability transparency dimension to reductions in that measure.
