Oracle boosts HCM with new employee engagement features

Thu, 27th Mar 2025

Oracle has unveiled new functionalities in its Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) platform, focusing on employee communications and event management.

These enhancements are part of the Oracle ME experience platform within Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM. The recent updates are intended to support human resources (HR) teams in improving employee engagement during company-wide initiatives. The tools also assist managers in facilitating more effective communication to enhance productivity and empower employees to create inclusive environments through grassroots events.

Yvette Cameron, Senior Vice President of Global HCM Product Strategy at Oracle, said, "Many organisations use multiple-point solutions to support internal communications and event management, but these often don't deliver the employee participation or insights needed for HR teams to effectively support their workforce and drive meaningful change. The latest updates to Oracle Communicate deliver a single communications and event management solution to help increase employee engagement, deliver more effective team communication, and drive change across the organisation."

Oracle Communicate integrates event management with workforce data, enabling teams to craft personalised internal communications. This can encourage employees' involvement in key initiatives, raise productivity, foster organisational culture, and improve the overall employee experience.

The enhancements offer comprehensive event management capabilities for HR teams to create and promote events aligned with critical company objectives, such as onboarding for new hires and open enrollment drives. The updates include targeting tools to efficiently engage with relevant employees through various methods, like email and text messages, and the Oracle Activity Center. Real-time event analytics are also available to assist HR teams in leveraging engagement insights to create and promote events effectively, aiming to boost participation rates.

Managers are now equipped with enhanced capabilities to manage and promote team-specific events. Such events might focus on learning sessions, strategy and vision alignment, or team building. The updates provide personalised communication tools, allowing managers to send customised messages to selected team members and encouraging specific actions like reporting progress following new initiative launches. Additionally, data-driven analytics give managers insights into team event participation, facilitating more informed coaching and career development discussions.

For employees, new self-service event management features allow the creation and promotion of grassroots events that contribute to learning, development, and community building, while also connecting individuals with peers who share similar interests. Communication tools available within the platform enable employees to share events through the Oracle Activity Center and produce newsletter digests to reinforce company culture.

Moreover, AI-driven capabilities suggest recommended events based on employee data such as location, activity, and personal preferences. A unified communications hub is also part of the enhancements, enabling employees to view and engage with all communications, including those driven by HR, team notifications, and employee-led initiatives.

The Oracle Cloud HCM suite is designed to connect every HR process, providing a unified platform for all people, work, and skills data within an organisation. Integrated artificial intelligence features analyse workforce data, create content, and enhance or automate processes, supporting HR teams in refining their people strategies and improving business operations.
