Novotel Bali Nusa Dua boosts revenue with new data-driven system

Thu, 20th Nov 2025

Novotel Bali Nusa Dua has reported a 15% increase in room revenue and a 9% rise in Average Daily Rate since adopting a new revenue management system.

The resort began using the IDeaS G3 Revenue Management System (RMS) to modernise its pricing strategy and improve overall efficiency in response to the highly competitive Bali hospitality market.

Revenue transformation

Historically, Novotel Bali Nusa Dua relied on manual processes and historical data when making pricing decisions.

The resort found these practices limited responsiveness to market changes and made adapting rates by room type particularly difficult.

Since integrating the IDeaS G3 RMS, the property receives daily pricing recommendations, demand forecasts, and guidance on room type pricing. These insights allow the management team to act with greater speed and accuracy when responding to market fluctuations and group booking requests.

Adapting to market

The system supports frequent price adjustments, taking into account changing demand trends and market conditions. This approach reflects the increasing importance of data-driven decisions in dynamic markets like Bali, where tourism demand shifts regularly.

"Before G3 RMS, we relied heavily on manual pricing and historical data. This limited our ability to respond to real-time market changes and made optimising rates by room type a challenge," said Rania Septiani, Revenue Manager, Novotel Bali Nusa Dua.

The new platform is also noted for its user-friendly features and responsive support services. Septiani highlighted the value of access to knowledgeable and prompt assistance, especially in areas such as training, troubleshooting, and ongoing system optimisation.

Collaboration benefits

The introduction of IDeaS G3 RMS has fostered better alignment across sales, marketing, and operations teams by providing a shared set of demand data and forecasts. This has helped integrate strategies across departments and boosted overall performance.

According to Septiani, the shift has encouraged a more analytical and proactive approach to revenue management within the hotel team. The property now bases decisions on concrete data rather than past assumptions.

"It allows us to make faster and more accurate decisions. In a dynamic market like Bali, prices need frequent adjustment based on demand shifts and market changes. The system helps ensure that our pricing is consistently supported by data-driven recommendations," said Septiani.

Measured outcomes

Novotel Bali Nusa Dua's reported 15% increase in room revenue and 9% growth in Average Daily Rate compares to the same period in the previous year. The resort's management attributes these results to the use of daily data and improved operational alignment, delivered by the IDeaS G3 RMS.

"One key non-financial benefit is improved collaboration. With clear data and forecasts, we can better align with sales, marketing, and operations. The system encourages a more analytical and proactive mindset in managing revenue," said Septiani.
