Mitsubishi unveils efficient YYS series aircons in Singapore

Thu, 10th Apr 2025

KM Marketing has announced the launch of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' new YYS series air conditioners in Singapore. These air conditioners are designed to enhance energy efficiency in home cooling solutions.

The YYS series was revealed at Moon Rooftop Bar & Lounge, where industry leaders, media representatives, and other stakeholders were present. The event highlighted Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' focus on providing climate solutions that cater to Singapore's urban and environmental needs.

Chia Kwang Liang, Managing Director of KM Marketing, said, "MHI has long been at the forefront of technology, and the new YYS series air conditioner reflects our continuous pursuit of innovation and sustainability."

"With expected population growth and environmental sustainability goals as championed by the Singapore government, these are expected to drive significant growth in the air conditioning market, increasing both demand and usage. Our solution caters to both residential and commercial users, aligning with the nation's growing demand for sustainability and high performance air conditioning solution."

Designed with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' advanced technology, the YYS series seeks to optimise airflow and energy efficiency. It promises powerful, precise cooling and even temperature distribution while focusing on reducing energy consumption. Additionally, a specialised filter in the system can inactivate 99.9% of viruses, including COVID-19, enhancing indoor air quality.

The new air conditioner, approved by the National Environment Agency (NEA) for its energy efficiency, is in line with Singapore's sustainability goals. The series has several new features, including upgraded cooling performance and improved indoor airflow. The indoor unit's maximum airflow has been increased by up to 20%, ensuring faster and more effective cooling.

The outdoor unit has been reinforced to ensure superior durability and withstand adverse weather for extended periods. Other features include integrating smart Wi-Fi, allowing remote control via smart devices, and a sophisticated design that harmonises aesthetic and functional needs, complementing modern interior designs.

Reducing the gas pipe size has optimised installation costs for the 24,000 BTU indoor unit, offering a cost-effective solution without sacrificing performance.
