Yesterday

LogicMonitor has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services to offer solutions designed to expedite global enterprises' migration to AWS.

The company's hybrid observability platform powered by AWS aims to mitigate risks and accelerate migration tasks in response to recent changes in VMware's licensing and pricing. This platform provides real-time insights into both on-premises and cloud environments, facilitating a smooth transition of VMware workloads to AWS while seeking to maintain operational continuity and optimise costs.

LogicMonitor has also attained AWS Cloud Operations Competency, distinguishing it as a member of the AWS Partner Network with proven expertise in establishing scalable observability foundations for comprehensive cloud operations.

Will Corkery, Chief Revenue Officer at LogicMonitor, commented, "Enterprises navigating the complexities of data centre transformation need seamless visibility across hybrid environments to make informed decisions and mitigate risk. Through this collaboration with AWS, we're empowering organisations to streamline their VMware migrations with confidence—optimising performance, reducing costs, and unlocking the next level of observability that modern IT operations demand."

Alan Braun, Managing Director, Technology Partnerships at AWS, stated, "As organisations continue to accelerate their move to AWS, observability is key. Bringing together AWS's advanced cloud services with LogicMonitor's observability expertise is another way customers can make a seamless transition to the cloud, and speed up the modernisation of their IT workloads."

LogicMonitor supports over 70 AWS services and provides tailored dashboards and workflows for organisations moving to AWS or expanding within it. Sectors like healthcare and financial services, which require resilient observability solutions, are expected to gain significant advantage from the collaboration between LogicMonitor and AWS.

The partnership aims to support enterprises migrating VMware workloads to AWS, focusing on uninterrupted service availability, detailed billing and utilisation insights, and migration strategy comparisons. LogicMonitor's platform is designed to compare lift-and-shift approaches against refactoring strategies, automating VM configuration detection, and cost optimisation utilizing their Envision tool.

Moreover, the platform seeks to enhance cost visibility and assure performance of migrated resources, aiming to avoid common pitfalls often encountered during transitions from on-prem environments to the cloud. It also includes automated performance optimisation features to identify over-provisioned virtual machines, streamlining workflows through integrations with tools such as ServiceNow and PagerDuty.

Oscar Garcia, Senior Vice President, Managed Services and Platform Automation, NTT, shared his perspective, "LogicMonitor's powerful hybrid observability tools have been invaluable as we guide customers through complex migrations from VMware to AWS environments. This collaboration has provided unmatched clarity and efficiency, enabling customers to confidently modernise their IT environments while unlocking greater flexibility and operational excellence."

This collaboration highlights the potential business value and flexibility offered by LogicMonitor and AWS to customers across varied industries.
