Linesight names Scott Halyday as new SE Asia regional director
Global construction consultancy Linesight has announced the appointment of Scott Halyday as the new Regional Director for Southeast Asia, following his success in leading operations in Singapore. Halyday, who brings to the position over 19 years of experience in managing large-scale projects across multiple sectors including data centres, aviation, life sciences, high-tech industrial, commercial, and mixed-use developments, is expected to drive the next phase of growth for the region.
Southeast Asia is a strategic growth area for Linesight, as global businesses look to establish and expand their operations in the region. It is projected that Southeast Asia's construction market will see consistent growth over the next four years, with significant investments directed towards countries like Malaysia. The country is becoming a key hub for companies in mission-critical sectors, such as data centres, which forms a crucial part of Linesight's focus.
In his new role, Halyday will be part of the regional leadership team and will help steer the company's expansion plans in key sectors such as data centres, life sciences, and semiconductors. This involves boosting the team across the region, particularly in areas of project management, scheduling, and project controls.
"Linesight is already well-established in Southeast Asia and continues to make strides in future-critical sectors," Halyday said. "I am honoured to be appointed as Regional Director for Southeast Asia to drive innovation and excellence in our service offerings."
Halyday will report directly to John Butler, Managing Director for the Asia Pacific region. Butler commented on the appointment, indicating that Southeast Asia is poised to be a high-growth region for the firm. "Scott's extensive global experience and his commitment to delivering superior and value-added solutions will be an invaluable asset to our operations and clients," Butler said.
