Josys launches Josys AI to streamline SaaS governance tools

Today

Josys has launched Josys AI, a suite of artificial intelligence-driven governance and automation tools for managing SaaS operations.

The company's new product is aimed at addressing recurring IT challenges related to fragmented access control, the proliferation of non-human identities, and inefficient licence management.

According to Josys, these issues continue to affect organisations as they scale their software-as-a-service usage, often resulting in excessive administrative workload for IT departments.

Josys AI is positioned as a set of integrated tools that are available through several points within the main Josys SaaS management platform. These include enhancements to the Discovery Engine and User Graph, which are designed to provide users with a cohesive experience across various IT processes.

For direct interaction, Josys has introduced an AI action button placed within the product's navigation. This feature is intended to offer context-sensitive workflows, connecting the AI's functionality to whichever platform section—such as user profiles, applications, or devices—an administrator is currently viewing.

One of the highlighted capabilities of Josys AI is its method for defining access policies. By examining usage patterns by role and department, the platform is structured to suggest and enforce appropriate access levels for employees. When identity monitoring is in place, Josys AI will flag and respond to irregularities such as unauthorised access or unexpected permission escalations. The system can automatically take action to block access, recommend manual IT follow-up steps, or initiate approval processes for exceptions.

Through these mechanisms, Josys AI aims to maintain continuous surveillance of user activity with the intent of tightening organisational security and curbing the risk of uncontrolled privilege allocation.

Josys also seeks to improve the classification and management of both human and non-human identities (NHIs). As the growth of multi-cloud environments, SaaS deployments, and interdependent AI workloads introduces new types of system access, IT teams face growing complexity in managing system-to-system communications and bot accounts.

Josys AI will automatically assign classifications to identities and offer a confidence score to administrators, helping prioritise those that may require further scrutiny. The feature also includes detection and removal of duplicate identities across an organisation's SaaS portfolio.

On the financial management side, Josys AI provides automation for contract administration.

The system is able to extract details such as licence counts and renewal dates from uploaded SaaS agreements, consolidating this data within each application's profile. According to Josys, the intent is to help IT teams maintain clear oversight of renewals and licence utilisation, supporting proactive vendor negotiation and budget planning efforts.

Looking forward, Josys has announced plans for additional features, including agentic ticket resolution. This will introduce specialised IT service management agents compatible with platforms like Atlassian and ServiceNow, enabling automated resolution of SaaS-related tickets where possible, with minimal IT team involvement.

Yasukane Matsumoto, Chief Executive Officer of Josys, stated: "With Josys AI, we're reimagining what SaaS management can be—intelligent, proactive, and deeply integrated into workflow automation. This launch marks a new era of operational control and security for companies managing increasingly complex SaaS ecosystems."
