JLL introduces Prism AI to boost property management efficiency

Fri, 15th Aug 2025

JLL has released new artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities for its Prism building operations platform, aiming to provide predictive analytics and automated workflows across its property management ecosystem.

AI capabilities for property management

The company stated that Prism AI, which operates as an add-on to the existing Prism platform, delivers operational intelligence designed to accelerate decision-making in areas such as resource allocation, tenant satisfaction, risk mitigation, vendor management, and capital investment. These capabilities are intended to assist property managers in maximising efficiency and reducing operational costs, as well as elevating the service provided to clients and tenants.

Daniel Russo, President of Property Management Technology at JLL, said, "In today's market, where expectations around building performance are multifaceted, investors are hyperfocused on implementing technology solutions that deliver value across their entire portfolio. Prism AI supercharges our professionals to make smarter decisions. This isn't just about efficiency; it's about fundamentally elevating the standard of property management while delivering exceptional value to our clients and tenants."

Core features

According to JLL, Prism AI integrates data from disparate property documents within the Prism platform, transforming them into an accessible and searchable knowledge base. The system automates routine administrative tasks and streamlines workflows for property teams. It also provides smart recommendations for improving tenant satisfaction, derived from analysis of service request patterns and historical property management data.

Prism AI enables engineering teams to cross-reference service manuals with warranty documentation, identifying opportunities to avoid unnecessary out-of-pocket repairs by detecting valid coverage. This data-driven approach is intended to help property teams plan strategically, ensure compliance, and achieve cost savings throughout the property management lifecycle.

Users can interact with Prism's interface by posing natural language queries, such as, "What issues from last quarter's property inspection are still outstanding?" The platform returns instant answers and relevant recommendations, maintaining conversational histories to improve transparency and empower operational decision-making.

Data privacy and security

JLL emphasised that Prism AI was designed with security in mind, supported by reliable infrastructure with automatic data backups. The platform upholds data separation practices to ensure that property data, tenant information, and financial details remain private to each organisation using the system.

Market context and outlook

"Prism AI represents a transformative leap forward in property management technology, seamlessly combining advanced data analytics with practical, actionable intelligence," said Yao Morin, Chief Technology Officer at JLL. "As client expectations continue to evolve, JLL remains focused on developing solutions that not only meet today's challenges but anticipate tomorrow's opportunities, setting new standards for excellence across commercial real estate."

JLL referenced its position as a fully technology-enabled commercial real estate (CRE) firm and highlighted the integration of its operational expertise with technical capabilities through products such as Prism AI. The company stated its ongoing focus is to enhance the value of properties and productivity for building occupants, shaped by two centuries of experience and a workforce incorporating technology specialists.
