Tue, 17th Oct 2023

Jarrod Magee, a seasoned tech executive, has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer by Sapia.ai, the world’s sole Smart Interviewer platform powered by deep-learning AI. Magee is set to leverage his expertise, honed by his dynamic career of over 15 years in the AI industry with remarkable companies such as NASDAQ-listed LivePerson and Afiniti, to contribute to the innovative works of Sapia.ai.

Known for his ability to lead and scale businesses with global operations, Magee played a crucial role in expanding LivePerson's operations into Japan and South East Asia in his tenure as the Commercial Head APAC, tripling their regional revenue in a span of four years.

Commenting on the new addition to their team, Sapia.ai founder and CEO Barb Hyman states, “Jarrod is joining Sapia.ai at a pivotal moment in our growth. We aim to be a household name within years, with candidates around the world using our platform in finding their next role.” Every 20 seconds, a Smart Interview powered by Sapia.ai is conducted by someone located in over 47 countries. Hyman believes Magee's role will be pivotal in growing the business, helping HR professionals leverage AI in making informed decisions.

Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role, Magee says, “I’ve seen AI transform Brands' customer service, and now, thanks to Sapia.ai, it’s poised to do the same for HR professionals. The company’s impressive list of major companies and large proprietary dataset make it a standout business in its category and among other AI companies. I look forward to helping Barb and the team scale Sapia.ai to new heights.”

Global brands such as Woolworths Group, Qantas and Spark NZ trust Sapia.ai for enhancing their recruitment and promotion processes. The company’s conversational, Natural Language Processing (NLP) based AI chat interviewer, helps assess and screen the best talent at scale using a user-friendly messaging platform. The technology not only improves diversity outcomes by eliminating unconscious bias but also allows companies to re-allocate thousands of hours spent on screening talent towards more valuable tasks.

The announcement follows earlier news of Sapia.ai welcoming two SafetyCulture executives to further steer its global growth. Sally Mack joining as Head of Operations and Sean Phelps as the company’s Head of ANZ Sales. Trusted by some of the world's premier consumer brands, Sapia.ai, founded by a former Chief Human Resources Officer, is ahead of the curve in disrupting all aspects of HR driven by AI.

The company’s innovative product, the Smart Interviewer, harnesses machine learning to address traditional business issues like high turnover while ensuring a fair and bias-free experience that brings workforce diversity to the fore. At the heart of the company’s innovation, the Smart Interviewer, provides hiring managers and Talent Acquisition professionals the agency to make informed hiring decisions while delivering an experience that all stakeholders can trust.
