Intralink acquires Orissa, bolstering Southeast Asia reach
Intralink has acquired Orissa International to enhance its capacity to support technology startups in Southeast Asia.
Established in 1990, Intralink is headquartered in Oxfordshire and aids companies in securing customers and partners overseas, focusing particularly on tech scaleups. By acquiring Orissa International, a Singapore-based market expansion company known for its 28-year track record, Intralink expands its reach and expertise in the fast-growing Southeast Asian markets.
This acquisition marks Intralink's first in Southeast Asia and is part of its growth strategy following an investment from Mobeus Equity Partners in 2023. It strengthens the consultancy's abilities to support companies in six major Southeast Asian economies: Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. These additions complement Intralink's Northeast Asia, Europe, and North America operations.
Orissa International, which has collaborated with Intralink for several years, will continue operating under its current name, though now part of the Intralink Group. Orissa's clients can now access opportunities beyond Southeast Asia, and Intralink's clients can better establish themselves in this region.
Greg Sutch, Chief Executive Officer of Intralink, stated, "We're thrilled to welcome Orissa International to the Intralink fold. Led by founder Sarath Menon and with a team of over 35 experts across six countries, Orissa International strengthens our ability to deliver impactful results for our clients in Southeast Asia. The region's rapid growth presents tremendous opportunities, and we look forward to working closely with Sarath and his team to unlock them."
Sarath Menon, Founder of Orissa International, remarked, "After 28 years of building Orissa International, I'm excited about our next chapter as part of the Intralink Group. Our businesses are highly complementary—Intralink's deep expertise in Northeast Asia pairs seamlessly with our stronghold in Southeast Asia. This creates enormous potential for our combined client base, and I'm eager to see how this will drive our collective growth."
Through this acquisition, Orissa International gains access to Intralink's 150-strong team across 20 locations and three continents. This resource will allow Orissa's clients to extend their market presence, while Intralink clients gain strengthened entry into Southeast Asia.
This strategic move will enhance Intralink's service offerings, providing specialised support to tech companies eager to break into or expand within Southeast Asia's rapidly expanding markets. Both Orissa International and Intralink stand to benefit from the synergy of expertise and expanded geographic reach resulting from this acquisition.
