Indosat & AIonOS partner to transform AI in Indonesia

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been established between Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and AIonOS to advance Indonesia's Artificial Intelligence ecosystem.

In this collaboration, both companies aim to leverage AI technologies to bolster economic growth in key sectors such as tourism, knowledge economy, and agriculture. This represents the first large-scale AI partnership between Indonesia and India, symbolising the commitment to using AI for sociocultural transformation.

AIonOS, a collaboration of InterGlobe and Assago Group, focuses on transitioning businesses to AI-led enterprises. Indosat is a major telecommunications provider in Indonesia. Together, these entities have launched AI3, which seeks to create innovative solutions tailored to Indonesia's local needs.

The strategic pillars of AI3 focus on transforming Indonesia's travel economy by promoting local experiences, enhancing connectivity, and integrating cultural heritage with global networks.

The initiative also aims to further the knowledge economy by partnering with educational institutions in both countries to develop an AI-ready workforce.

Additionally, the partnership seeks to advance sustainable food security by using AI technologies to enhance agricultural productivity and resilience.

Vikram Sinha, President Director and Chief Executive Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, remarked, "This partnership highlights the transformative power of AI in addressing real-world economic and societal challenges. AI3 (AI Cube) embodies Indosat's commitment to fostering innovation and growth with a shared vision to revolutionise Indonesia's digital landscape. He believes this partnership will co-create solutions that will benefit millions in Indonesia."
