IDeaS & SORASO partner to boost hotel revenue in Southeast Asia

Today

IDeaS has announced a technology integration partnership with SORASO by Smart Finder to deliver enhanced hotel revenue management capabilities across Southeast Asia.

SORASO, a provider of hospitality solutions comprising front office and back-office operations, manages over 100,000 hotel rooms and supports 50,000 users in the region. The new partnership will see SORASO's portfolio of approximately 1,000 properties gain access to IDeaS' revenue management solutions through direct system integration.

Partnership details

The connection links SORASO's property management system (PMS) with IDeaS' revenue management software, providing hotels an integrated platform to optimise occupancy rates and average daily rates. The aim is to enable hoteliers to benefit from data-driven strategies to maximise profits while streamlining operational decision-making.

Weerapan Intasorn (James), Chief Commercial Officer at SORASO, said, "Partnering with IDeaS is a major step forward in delivering smarter, revenue-driven solutions to our hotel clients. Together, we are setting new standards for hotel performance optimisation."

Hotels using SORASO's PMS will now be able to utilise revenue management tools that apply advanced analytics and automated pricing as well as inventory strategies. This allows properties, regardless of their size or type, to react to shifting market dynamics in real time.

Industry response

Jurgen Ortelee, APAC Managing Director at IDeaS Revenue Solutions, commented, "IDeaS is committed to improving the revenue performance of hotels across the Southeast Asia region. By integrating SORASO PMS with IDeaS G3 RMS, more properties can gain access to IDeaS' industry leading forecasting and revenue optimisation software, empowering users to make better data-driven business decisions. We are excited by the potential of our partnership with SORASO and its ability to improve revenue outcomes for hoteliers across the region."

"Partnering with IDeaS is a major step forward in delivering smarter, revenue-driven solutions to our hotel clients. Together, we are setting new standards for hotel performance optimisation," said Weerapan Intasorn (James), Chief Commercial Officer, SORASO.

The data integration offers a real-time, two-way information exchange, which is intended to eliminate common data silos and reduce manual errors. This is expected to result in not only improved efficiency but also a more robust approach to revenue and profit optimisation across all room categories and distribution channels.

Enhanced data-driven operations

The partnership focuses on creating continuous and reliable data flows between the SORASO PMS and the IDeaS G3 RMS platform. This enables hoteliers to make decisions faster and with greater confidence, supporting improved operational workflows and outcomes.

The ability to automate the collection, transfer, and analysis of essential data points is a core component of the integration. It helps hotels increase their responsiveness to market changes and economic fluctuations in a highly competitive sector.

Previously, revenue managers often faced significant challenges integrating disparate systems and relying on manual data input. This collaboration seeks to address such challenges by offering a unified solution capable of supporting rapid, accurate decision-making processes for both boutique and larger-scale resort properties.

Market context

Southeast Asia's hospitality market continues to expand at a rapid pace, with operators adopting technology to maintain competitiveness and support growth. Technology partnerships such as the one between IDeaS and SORASO reflect wider trends in the industry, as hotel groups look for ways to use data and analytics to enhance business performance and financial outcomes.

The agreement also provides SORASO's broad user base access to forecasting and optimisation functions that have previously been out of reach for many regional independent hotel operators. By offering these tools, the partnership aims to elevate the standard of revenue management available in the region.
