IAS launches first Responsibility Report highlighting ESG progress
Wed, 6th Dec 2023

Integral Ad Science (IAS), a major global media measurement and optimisation platform, has announced the release of its first Responsibility Report outlining crucial progress in bolstering its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

"We are excited to present our inaugural Responsibility Report demonstrating our intent to make a positive impact on our customers, shareholders, employees, and the broader global community,” said Lisa Utzschneider, Chief Executive Officer at IAS.

The report aims to show their "unwavering dedication to innovation and ethical practices, continual obsession for exceptional service for our customers, and our strong commitment to creating a great place to work and develop."

The highlights revealed in the report target three significant areas presenting greatest challenges, Energy Usage, Decarbonization in Digital Advertising, and Diversity. IAS relocated its London team to a building powered solely by renewable energy aiming to concentrate the energy usage.

It engaged in initiatives and partnerships aimed at reducing carbon emissions in digital advertising, including monitoring and optimising the carbon footprint of ad campaigns.

Diversity at IAS is demonstrated through its employees - 43% of its workforce identifies as a race other than white, while 40% identifies as female. The predominantly female Board of Directors includes three members from underrepresented racial groups, two of which identify as African American.

Moreover, the report discusses IAS's participation in Corporate Giving and Accreditations and Certifications. Its contribution to the 'Share Lunch, Fight Hunger' initiative exceeded donation targets, resulting in meals for 24,000 children. In 2023, IAS obtained multiple industry accreditations and certifications, underlining its commitment to viewability, transparency, and data privacy compliance.

"Our unwavering dedication to aligning ESG initiatives with our business practices is a fundamental principle at IAS,” Utzschneider noted. “We take pride in empowering our customers with actionable data that drives superior business results, while instilling confidence in our stakeholders that IAS remains persistent in our efforts to foster a safer and more sustainable global community."

IAS's comprehensive data collection captures 280 billion interactions daily from across the globe, giving customers actionable data they need to drive superior results and stay future-ready. The company utilises its data platform to fuel its commercial success, contributing to their mission to serve as the global standard for trust and transparency in digital media quality.

The report aligns with reporting standards, using the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) framework as a guideline.
