HP partners with Cambridge for EdTech education fellowship

Today

HP and Cambridge University Press & Assessment have announced that 24 education leaders from across Europe and Central Asia will join the HP Cambridge Partnership for Education EdTech Fellowship to explore the application of technology in education.

The Fellowship aims to provide a collaborative platform for leaders responsible for shaping education systems. Participants, known as Fellows, will have the chance to work together, integrate research into practice, and share insights to optimise the use of technology in education.

Launched in 2023, the initiative brings together an alumni network that already includes over 50 Fellows from various global regions. The network offers opportunities for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and innovative education strategies. Newly inducted Fellows will undergo a five-month study programme combining online learning with a residential week in Cambridge, UK.

The Fellowship has been identified as a finalist for the Bett Award for Transformational Impact for the second consecutive year in 2025. This recognition highlights the programme's role in advancing educational technology solutions.

From January 2025, the new cohort of Fellows will begin their programme. In April, these leaders will gather in Cambridge to discuss major educational challenges, including the ethical use of artificial intelligence in education. The programme will comprise coaching, talks, hands-on projects, and networking opportunities, aiming to equip leaders with tools to address educational needs effectively.

Dr Albina Tsiatkovska, Director General for International Cooperation at Ukraine's Ministry of Education and Science, commented on her participation in the Fellowship: "I'm excited to join this Fellowship because I believe in the power of collaboration and shared knowledge to drive meaningful change in education. The diverse perspectives and strategies shared within the Fellowship will inspire me to think critically and creatively about how we can enhance educational access and quality for all Ukrainian children."

Gizzat Baitursynov, Chairman of the Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Development Committee at Kazakhstan's Ministry of Digital Development, emphasised the importance of the programme for the country's education strategy: "In Kazakhstan, we are at a pivotal stage in redefining our education system, aiming to leverage AI-driven technologies to personalise learning experiences and improve access to quality education for our diverse population. The opportunity to collaborate with global leaders, share perspectives with peers, and engage in research on cutting-edge EdTech strategies is an invaluable chance to enrich my understanding of best practices."

This new network of Fellows will impact approximately 51.3 million teachers and students across 14 countries by enhancing educational access and quality through technology. The countries represented include Albania, Azerbaijan, France, Georgia, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Lithuania, Mongolia, Romania, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Uzbekistan.

Mayank Dhingra, Global Director – Education Strategy at HP, remarked on the gathering of education leaders, stating, "Our EdTech Fellows are making an impact in their local communities through the effective implementation of pedagogy and technology to ensure high-quality education becomes accessible to more people. We're thrilled to invite leading education innovators from Europe and Central Asia into this growing community."

Steve King, Head of Education Reform at the Partnership for Education, Cambridge University Press & Assessment, also expressed enthusiasm: "I'm excited to welcome an outstanding group of leaders from across Central Europe, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia to the EdTech Fellowship. This cohort reflects the momentum and innovation happening in education throughout the region. They are united by a shared vision to provide transformative learning for children."
