Google Cloud & Accenture launch Gemini Enterprise group

Google Cloud and Accenture have launched a new enterprise AI group focused on Gemini Enterprise as businesses look to move agentic AI from pilot projects into broader use.
The Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group will combine Accenture teams with Google Cloud engineering support and is expected to include a 1,000-person forward-deployed engineering workforce. It is intended to help clients deploy and scale Gemini Enterprise, from smaller unit-level projects to broader business transformation.
The launch reflects a wider shift in corporate AI strategy as companies try to turn early experiments into changes that affect daily operations. A key priority for both companies is closing the gap between AI experimentation and enterprise-scale transformation.
That challenge is also reflected in recent survey data. Research by Deloitte found that 74% of leaders surveyed expect nearly half of their business processes to be redesigned or rebuilt around AI agents within four years.
Yet readiness remains limited. Only 15% said their organisations had already scaled orchestrated, cross-functional adoption involving multiple agents, while just 5% described their business processes as highly prepared for agentic AI.
Vladimer Botsvadze, Advisory Board Member of the United States Artificial Intelligence Institute, said the implications of that shift would go beyond automating routine work.
"AI agents will transform organisations in much the same way that enterprise software transformed them over the past three decades, but with one crucial difference," said Vladimer Botsvadze, Advisory Board Member, United States Artificial Intelligence Institute.
"AI agents will automate and augment decision-making instead of simply following predefined rules."
He said the next stage of adoption is likely to change how people work inside companies, with employees increasingly working alongside specialised software agents embedded in the same workflows rather than using AI only as an occasional tool.
"One of the most significant changes will be the emergence of a hybrid workforce where humans and agents work side by side," Botsvadze said.
"Employees will increasingly be supported by specialised agents that can conduct research, prepare analysis, manage workflows, monitor performance and interact with customers.
"Just as every professional today uses software tools, every professional in the near future may have a team of AI agents acting as digital colleagues."
Deloitte's findings suggest business leaders broadly share that view. Three-quarters of those surveyed said collaboration between humans and AI agents creates more value than agent-powered automation alone.
At the same time, many expect rapid disruption. Some 43% said agentic AI would significantly disrupt their workforces within the next 12 to 18 months, including changes to job requirements, working practices and the creation of new roles.
Management changes
Botsvadze said managers could see some of the sharpest changes to their day-to-day work as software agents take on coordination and oversight tasks that have traditionally required human time.
"Perhaps even more importantly, AI agents will reshape management itself," Botsvadze said.
"Managers spend a considerable amount of time on coordination, reporting, status tracking and administration oversight.
"AI agents can perform much of this work in real time, allowing leaders to make better-informed decisions."
His comments point to a broader question for large companies: whether AI projects remain confined to trials or begin to influence organisational design. He warned that high levels of experimentation do not necessarily lead to lasting operational change.
"Many organisations are running dozens, sometimes hundreds of AI pilots," Botsvadze said.
"Yet pilots don't create transformation.
"In fact, organisations can become very good at experimenting, very poor at scaling."
Scaling pressure
The new Google Cloud and Accenture group is one response to that problem. By combining consulting teams with engineering resources, the companies aim to support customers moving from isolated deployments to broader adoption across functions.
Botsvadze said companies making stronger progress tend to start with business outcomes rather than individual tools or technical experiments.
"They begin with outcomes, not algorithms," he said.
He said the larger effect of agentic AI may come when companies redesign structures and processes around what AI agents can do, rather than using them to make existing systems slightly faster.
"Ultimately, the greatest impact of AI agents will not be operational efficiency, but organisational redesign," Botsvadze said.
"Many structures and processes were built for a world where information was scarce and coordination was expensive.
"The organisations that thrive over the next five years will not simply automate existing ways of working.
"They will rethink how work is organised, how decisions are made, and how value is created."
