FPT Software, a global IT frontrunner, has announced its commitment to open innovation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) by joining the AI Alliance.
Co-launched by IBM and Meta, the collaborative effort includes members from industry, startups, academia, and government. The alliance is dedicated to encouraging open scientific advancements in AI, promoting potential applications, and ensuring appropriate governance processes.
Operating within the fields of responsible and transparent AI, FPT Software will work globally and specifically in Southeast Asia to support these directives.
According to a statement, the IT leader plans to contribute actively to the overarching goals of the AI Alliance by advancing cooperation and innovation in the AI sector. FPT Software's recent collaborations with other members of the alliance such as AITOMATIC, Landing AI and MILA, reflect their dedication to addressing the intricate challenges faced across different industries and facilitating AI adoption.
The announcement made in Hanoi, Vietnam, on 6th December 2023, highlighted FPT Software's inclusion as a Founding Member of the AI Alliance. The initiative seeks to harness computing, data, tools, and talents on a global scale to enhance open innovation in technology, applications, and governance of AI. Through its participation in the alliance, FPT Software will exert its influence within a worldwide network of tech leaders resolved to foster open AI innovation and uphold the security, safety, and trust ingrained in AI applications.
Dr. Phong Nguyen, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at FPT Software, expressed the company's enthusiasm at joining the alliance. The company’s collaboration with AITOMATIC, a fellow founding member of the AI Alliance, has focused on championing OpenSSA technology to create custom AI agents for industrial applications.
