Fergus & Groundplan partner for seamless tradie solutions
Fergus has announced its integration with Groundplan, enabling seamless data transfer between Groundplan's estimating tools and Fergus's job management platform for tradies.
The integration will enable users to access supplier catalogues and pricing directly within Groundplan, create quotes based on takeoff data automatically, and eliminate the need for manual data entry between estimating and job management systems. This aims to streamline the process from design to ordering parts, saving time and reducing errors.
A key feature of the integration is real-time pricing and profitability.
Users will be able to see material and labour costs instantly, apply markup, and calculate potential profits while designing projects. This is intended to assist tradies in making data-driven decisions with current information readily available.
Mark Bartels, CEO of Fergus, commented, "This integration is another important milestone for Fergus in helping trades businesses save time and increase profitability."
"By connecting with Groundplan, we're eliminating time-consuming, error-prone manual data entry—boosting accuracy and freeing up time. After all, time spent on admin is time not spent making money. This integration also provides real-time insights into costs and profitability, empowering users to make smarter, data-driven decisions with the most up-to-date information at their fingertips."
The integration allows users to drag and drop pre-filled job items from their Fergus favourites into Groundplan, complete with associated parts, labour estimates, and pricing. This functionality offers on-site staff comprehensive project information, facilitating efficient project execution by providing detailed and accurate plans to teams.
Rex Redden, CEO of Groundplan, stated, "We're excited to partner with Fergus to bring this integration to life. This partnership goes beyond software integration; it's about creating a more connected, efficient way of working for tradies, streamlining the takeoff to job management process, and enhancing profitability."
The Fergus-Groundplan integration also provides flexibility in how users interact with suppliers.
Users can place direct orders through Fergus, generate email orders, or print order forms, accommodating different supplier relationships. This aims to streamline workflows, regardless of how tradies engage with suppliers.
Mark Bartels added, "Fergus is positioning itself at the heart of a partner ecosystem designed to support tradies at every step. By integrating with Groundplan for takeoffs and estimation and connecting with a wide range of suppliers for materials and parts, we're building workflows that streamline every aspect of a tradie's job. This minimises context switching, saves time, and simplifies software management—providing a more seamless solution for your business."
The integration is now available to users in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, accessible through existing Fergus subscriptions. New users can sign up for a free trial to explore the features and benefits.
