Epson unveils ColorWorks CW-C8050 for Southeast Asia
Epson has introduced its ColorWorks CW-C8050, designed to fulfill the needs of businesses requiring high-volume batch printing in logistics, manufacturing, and packaging industries across Asia.
The ColorWorks CW-C8050 is being launched as an upgrade to the CW-C7510/G, which was the first industrial colour label printer to feature PrecisionCore printhead technology when it was released in 2015. The new model offers numerous advances to cater to the demands of fast-growing industrial sectors in the region.
The CW-C8050 aims to streamline workflows for businesses seeking cost-efficient and high-quality labelling solutions. It boasts PrecisionCore Heat-Free technology and uses UltraChrome DL pigment inks, delivering smudge and fade-resistant labels with vibrant colours and sharp text. With a high print speed of up to 11.8 inches per second, it is suited for busy on-demand environments.
This printer allows flexibility in printing on various media, including matte and gloss paper, film, and synthetic materials, with support for print widths from 1 to 4 inches. It can print on thicker media up to 0.6mm using an adjustable platen gap. The device's spot colour management and ICC profiling functions ensure precise colour matching for superior results.
The CW-C8050 features a design that requires minimal maintenance. It employs Nozzle Verification Technology and dot substitution to prevent misprints and blocked nozzles, while an auto-maintenance function aids in maintaining optimal performance. The high-yield ink packs provide a total capacity of 1.9 litres, reducing the frequency of maintenance and consumable waste.

The CW-C8050 supports USB 3.0, high-speed Ethernet, and an I/O port, facilitating straightforward integration and remote management. It is compatible with legacy systems, popular middleware, and includes drivers for SAP Direct Printing. Epson Cloud Solution PORT allows easy integration of multiple printer units, remote monitoring of printer status, and tracking of ink consumption to ensure continuous productivity.
The Epson ColorWorks CW-C8050 is now available for purchase in Singapore, expanding Epson's portfolio to cater to the high-volume printing needs of industrial businesses in the region.
