Deputy appoints Jaimie Buss as Chief Revenue Officer in pursuit of continued growth
Mon, 13th Nov 2023

Deputy, the world's top software platform for managing shift workers, has announced the new appointment of Jaimie Buss as its first ever Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). This move demonstrates Deputy's dedication to sustained growth, expansion, and innovation.

Jaimie Buss brings over twenty years of significant SaaS industry experience to her role at Deputy. She previously served as CRO at Articulate, where she had a broad range of responsibilities that encompassed sales, customer success, revenue operations, sales engineering, and sales enablement.

Buss has a proven track record of impressive growth in her prior positions. Notably, when she was at Zendesk, Buss played an instrumental role in the company's exceptional growth from $300 million to $1.3 billion in annual recurring revenue. Her leadership there significantly contributed to the expansion of the sales team—doubling it to over 250 people—and also to the setup of indispensable new functions, such as business development and the first renewal team in North America.

In her position at Deputy, Buss will be in charge of global sales, marketing, and strategic partnerships. Her remit is to further establish Deputy's standing as the go-to global platform for industries that employ shift workers and for those workers who are deskless.

"We are thrilled to welcome Jaimie to Deputy as our new Chief Revenue Officer," says Silvija Martincevic, CEO of Deputy. "I am confident that her unique skill set, honed through years of experience in product-led growth (PLG), high-velocity and enterprise SaaS sales, will be a driving force in accelerating Deputy's global growth and impact on the world of shift work."

Buss voiced her optimism about the new appointment, "I am incredibly excited to join Deputy and be part of a team poised for remarkable growth. The opportunity to make a significant impact through technology to address the unique challenges faced by shift workers and the businesses who employ them is truly inspiring."

She went on to elaborate, "Deputy's potential is undeniable. The company is well-positioned in a market that's ready for innovative solutions. What attracted me to this opportunity was the chance to create impact on a truly global level and help the company reach its full potential. The talented team and collaborative culture at Deputy have me looking forward to the exciting journey ahead."

The choice of Buss as Deputy's first Chief Revenue Officer underpins the company's clear commitment to upholding its trajectory of growth, expansion, and innovation.
