Corvus Robotics has appointed Co-Founder Mohammed Kabir as Chief Executive Officer and raised USD $20 million in new funding, led by Catalyst Investors.

Kabir succeeds Co-Founder Jackie Wu, who is stepping back from the top role for health reasons and will remain on the board. He previously served as Chief Technology Officer and has led the company's technology and product work since its founding.

The round also included returning investors S2G Investments, Spero Ventures, and F7 Ventures, along with new investor Cibus Capital. Sidney Kullar of Catalyst Investors joined the board as part of the deal.

Corvus Robotics develops robotic systems for warehouse and distribution operations, where companies often still rely on delayed inventory records, estimates, or manual reconciliation. Its products gather data inside operating facilities and feed that information into the company's software platform.

The leadership change follows what Corvus Robotics described as its broadest product expansion to date. Earlier this year, it launched Corvus One for Cold Chain, an autonomous inventory robot designed to operate from standard warehouse conditions to deep-freeze settings at -20°F without localisation infrastructure.

It later introduced Corvus Trident, an AI copilot mounted on forklifts and reach trucks to record pallet movement during routine operations. Together with Corvus One, the systems are designed to track both stationary inventory and goods in motion across a facility.

Corvus Robotics now has more than 300 devices deployed across 26 US states, as well as Canada and Mexico. Customers include Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits, GNC, Dermalogica, and MSI Surfaces.

The company highlighted several customer outcomes from those deployments. Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits expanded the system to nine distribution centres with more than 40 drones and identified more than 35,000 verified inventory discrepancies.

At its global headquarters, Dermalogica increased inventory imaging frequency by 600%, according to Corvus Robotics. GNC increased counting frequency to about four times its previous rate, reaching monthly counts, and redirected 35% of its inventory control labour to other work.

Leadership change

Kabir is one of the company's founders and has been closely involved in product development and operations since Corvus Robotics was established in 2017. Wu said the transition reflects his health situation rather than any change in confidence in the business.

"Corvus Robotics was founded on the conviction that the physical world generates enormous amounts of data and almost none of it gets captured or acted on," said Mohammed Kabir, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Corvus Robotics.

"Our fleet currently analyzes over a million locations every month, giving our customers an unprecedented view into what actually happens inside their facilities. Stepping into this role is a privilege, and I am glad Jackie is staying on our board."

Wu called Kabir the natural successor after years of building the company together.

"Corvus has been the work of my career, and I am stepping back from the Chief Executive Officer role for health reasons alone," said Jackie Wu, Co-Founder, Corvus Robotics.

"Kabir and I have been building this together since 2017, starting with the first Corvus prototype in his MIT dorm room. He has architected every part of the technology our customers run today and has been deeply involved in running the business. There is no one better prepared to lead what comes next. I am grateful to our customers, our team, and our investors for the trust they have placed in us. I look forward to what this team builds from here."

Growth plans

With the new round, Corvus Robotics has raised USD $38 million in total. The funding reflects investor interest in tools that provide more frequent and automated visibility into warehouse stock and movement.

Kullar said the company's data collection approach could reshape warehouse management.

"Corvus Robotics is capturing a layer of data that has never existed: real-time, ground-truth visibility into what is actually happening inside a warehouse," said Sidney Kullar of Catalyst Investors.

"Kabir and the team have built a platform that works in a punishing physical environment, and that data is becoming the foundation for a much bigger shift in how warehouses are run."
