Connext Global has opened a fourth office in Cebu City, Philippines, as the company reports revenue growth and a rise in headcount.

The Hawaii-based staffing and employer-of-record group said first-half revenue rose 15% and that it added 80 new clients across healthcare, construction, legal, real estate, accounting, and technology. Those clients were spread across more than 15 US states.

Headcount increased from 2,300 to 2,620 in less than six months, according to Connext. The company aims to reach 3,200 employees by the end of the year, marking one of its largest hiring drives to date.

The Cebu site opened in April, adding to Connext's existing presence in the Philippines. The move gives clients another delivery location beyond Manila and supports a multi-site operating model.

The expansion comes as debate around artificial intelligence has focused on job losses in some sectors. Connext, however, is increasing hiring and adding roles related to AI and automation.

In Hawaii, the company has made three senior appointments: Jonathan Ho as VP of Finance, Kevin Thai as VP of Strategy and Operations, and James Tagalog as AI and Automation Lead.

Management linked the latest expansion to customer demand.

"Demand for flexible, high-quality offshore teams has held strong through the first half, and clients increasingly want delivery that can scale without single-site risk," said Tim Mobley, President, Connext Global.

"Opening Cebu and deepening our leadership bench in Hawaii were deliberate moves to support that. We are building the capacity now to take on larger engagements through the rest of the year," Mobley said.

Growth markets

Recent client wins reflect demand from mid-market US businesses seeking offshore staffing support across a range of functions. Connext operates in co-managed remote staffing and employer-of-record services, allowing clients to hire staff in overseas markets without setting up a local legal entity.

The Philippines remains one of the region's most established outsourcing hubs, with Manila long serving as the main centre for contact centre and back-office work. Expansion into Cebu points to a wider trend among outsourcing providers and their clients to diversify operations across multiple cities.

For customers, this can reduce concentration risk by limiting reliance on a single location. For employers, secondary cities can offer access to labour pools outside the capital while supporting further expansion.

Workplace awards

Alongside the financial update, Connext highlighted recent workplace recognition in Colombia and the Philippines. It ranked fourth on Great Place to Work's Best Workplaces for Women in Colombia and was also named among the Philippines' Best Workplaces in IT-BPM 2026.

The company also said it expanded a community partnership in the Philippines through work with Ayala Foundation and Malaya Foundation to support digital education in underserved schools.

Connext is based in Honolulu and has operated for 12 years. Its latest figures suggest the business is on course for its strongest annual performance to date, driven by new client wins, higher staffing levels, and a broader footprint in the Philippines.
