Thu, 26th Oct 2023

AI-powered data security and management leader, Cohesity, is delighted to announce that prominent industry veterans Indra Nooyi, Jim Snabe, Ken Denman, and Tami Erwin have been appointed to its newly formed CEO Advisory Council. This illustrious group will lend their extensive expertise to Cohesity's executives, bolstering the firm's leadership position and contributing invaluable strategic insight. It marks a significant expansion of the company's ambitions in the realm of data security and management.

Sanjay Poonen, president and CEO of Cohesity, voiced his excitement at the appointments, saying, "I am honoured and humbled that these incredible leaders have agreed to provide their strategic expertise, as we scale Cohesity to new heights. Today, data is a uniquely valuable resource that can be a significant advantage. Protecting our customers' data, and providing insights into it, is our core mission, and I believe the advice and insight provided by Indra, Jim, Ken, and Tami will help us advance our strategies and scale our business globally."

The CEO Advisory Council will serve the essential role of guiding the Cohesity leadership team on industry trends and emerging opportunities. Drawing on their wide-ranging experience, the Council will provide valuable perspectives on driving innovation and connecting with enterprise customers and other industry stalwarts.

The Council includes the following high-profile, industry experts: Indra Nooyi, the former Chair and CEO of PepsiCo and currently serving as a Board Director for Amazon, Philips, and the International Cricket Council; Jim Snabe, Chairman of Siemens and Northvolt, and a board director at C3.ai; Ken Denman, General Partner at Sway Ventures; and Tami Erwin, the former CEO of Verizon Business.

Nooyi expressed her anticipation about the new role, stating, "All enterprise organisations survive and thrive on their ability to manage, secure, and understand data. Anything that compromises that ability can not only limit opportunities for expansion and growth but can also thwart a thriving economy. I've had a growing friendship with Sanjay Poonen, and believe in his vision, and as such, I'm excited to join Cohesity's CEO Advisory Council, as the company continues to grow its AI-powered data-security and management platform."

Headquartered in San Jose, CA, Cohesity is fast becoming a dominant force in AI-powered data security and management. Already trusted by some of the world's largest enterprises, Cohesity provides comprehensive data security and management capabilities, from immutable backup snapshots to AI-based threat detection, monitoring for malicious behaviour, and rapid recovery at scale.
