Bitkub Exchange and Bitkub Academy have partnered with the Canton Foundation in Thailand on education around blockchain infrastructure for financial institutions, enterprises and developers.

The three organisations will develop educational content on privacy-enabled, interoperable blockchain systems and programmable finance. The initiative aims to deepen understanding of blockchain-based financial infrastructure and its use in issuing, settling and managing real-world assets, including securities and funds.

The Canton Foundation oversees the Canton Network, which is designed for institutional financial markets. It allows separate financial applications to connect and transact through smart contracts while maintaining privacy and interoperability.

The model reflects growing interest among financial firms in blockchain systems that can support regulated market activity without exposing sensitive data. Real-world assets have become a particular focus as institutions explore ways to represent conventional financial products on distributed ledger systems.

Bitkub Exchange is one of Thailand's best-known digital asset trading platforms, while Bitkub Academy serves as the education arm of Bitkub Labs. Their collaboration with the Canton Foundation adds an institutional finance element to Bitkub's broader blockchain outreach in the Thai market.

The programme will target several audiences in Thailand, including financial institutions, businesses and software developers. The content is expected to focus on the structure of blockchain-based market infrastructure rather than retail cryptocurrency trading.

Atthakrit Chimplapibul, Co-founder of Bitkub Group, said: "Bitkub Exchange is committed to accelerating blockchain adoption by providing secure access to world-class assets and infrastructure, including institutional-grade financial market infrastructure built for the future. Our expanded collaboration with the Canton Foundation reflects Bitkub Exchange's commitment to bridging traditional finance and decentralized technology, driving meaningful, real-world adoption across Southeast Asia and beyond."

The collaboration also points to a wider push in Asia to connect digital asset expertise with more established areas of finance. Firms in the region have increasingly focused on tokenised funds, digital bonds and other asset classes that could move through blockchain-based settlement systems.

For the Canton Foundation, Thailand offers a market where digital assets already have a visible retail presence and where blockchain education could extend into institutional use cases. The partnership is intended to help local organisations understand the systems that support on-chain finance.

"As institutional finance increasingly moves on-chain, broad understanding of the infrastructure that underpins it is essential to sustainable adoption. Together with Bitkub Exchange and Bitkub Academy, we look forward to equipping financial institutions, developers and enterprises in Thailand with the knowledge needed to build and participate in the next generation of financial market infrastructure, and to supporting the continued development of a trusted, institutional-grade blockchain ecosystem across Southeast Asia," Thomas Chou, Head of Growth, APAC, Canton Foundation, said.

Education focus

Bitkub Academy's role is to help translate technical and market concepts for a broader audience in Thailand. That includes developers and enterprises, as well as those seeking a clearer picture of how decentralised financial infrastructure fits into existing market structures.

Sugrit Phutaviriya, Member of the Board of Directors, Bitkub Labs, said: "In an era where institutional finance and blockchain are converging at an unprecedented pace, this collaboration with the Canton Foundation marks a significant step forward for Bitkub Academy in delivering in-depth knowledge on decentralized financial infrastructure and programmable capital markets to developers, enterprises and enthusiasts across Thailand, while strengthening our own readiness to educate the broader public. Together, we are preparing Thailand for a future in which blockchain becomes the backbone of the modern financial system."

The initiative also underlines how education has become a competitive tool in digital finance, particularly as companies seek to shape discussion around standards, infrastructure and market design. Here, the effort is framed around privacy-preserving systems and interoperability, two issues that have become central to institutional adoption of blockchain networks.

The Canton Network's approach is based on allowing separate applications to interact while preserving control over data visibility. That has attracted attention in wholesale finance, where institutions often need automation and shared processes but cannot expose transaction information openly on public systems.

Thailand has been one of Southeast Asia's more active digital asset markets, and the collaboration suggests a further attempt to broaden that activity beyond trading into financial infrastructure. The organisations said the work will cover blockchain applications in the issuance, settlement and management of securities and funds.
