Bango has partnered with South Korean telecoms provider LG U+ to expand the subscription services offered through the Udok platform. The deal gives Bango access to a market where LG U+ serves more than 30 million wireless subscriptions.

LG U+ has selected Bango's Digital Vending Machine system to add more global and local subscription services to Udok, which lets customers find, access and manage subscriptions in one place. The platform also offers bundles, discounts and promotions across categories including streaming, lifestyle, artificial intelligence and education.

The agreement expands Bango's presence in East Asia and reflects a broader push by telecoms groups to build subscription marketplaces alongside their core connectivity businesses. As traditional telecoms services mature, operators are seeking new ways to increase customer engagement and generate additional revenue.

Udok is designed as a central hub for LG U+ customers who want to manage multiple subscriptions through a single interface. Users can browse available services, select bundles and manage existing subscriptions without switching between separate providers.

Bango's platform is used by resellers including telecoms companies, banks and retailers to launch and manage subscription offers. It handles operational tasks across the subscription cycle, including onboarding providers, processing upgrades and downgrades, managing cancellations and applying promotional offers.

The partnership gives LG U+ access to Bango's existing network of subscription providers, including international and local services. This is intended to make it easier for the telecoms group to add new offers as consumer demand changes.

South Korea is one of Asia's more advanced telecoms and digital services markets, with intense competition among operators for customer loyalty and bundled services. In that environment, subscription platforms have become one way for carriers to differentiate their consumer offerings beyond mobile and broadband access.

For Bango, the deal adds another carrier relationship as it expands its business in subscription distribution and management. The company has sought to position itself as an intermediary between subscription providers and large consumer-facing distributors such as telecoms operators.

Yongsung Cho, Head of Partnership Business at LG U+, said the partnership is designed to help the company broaden the scope of its Udok service. "Customer needs are constantly evolving, and we want Udok to evolve with them. The Digital Vending Machine from Bango gives us the agility to expand our subscription offering quickly and efficiently, bringing customers greater choice across both global and local services. We're excited to work with Bango to make it even easier for our customers to discover, access and manage the subscriptions they love," he said.

Paul Larbey, Chief Executive Officer of Bango, linked the agreement to the company's international growth in subscription bundling. "LG U+ is building a compelling subscription proposition with Udok, giving customers access to a wide range of services and offers through a single platform. The Bango DVM gives LG U+ the flexibility to rapidly add high-demand global and local subscription services and create sophisticated bundles, while reducing the complexity of launching and managing them. This is another important step in the global expansion of the Bango DVM," he said.
