Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise launches cloud network tool
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise has launched a new cloud-based network inventory management solution called Fleet Supervision.
As digital transformation continues to accelerate, network infrastructures are becoming increasingly complex, presenting new challenges for IT teams who are responsible for device security, software compliance, and operational efficiency.
ALE Fleet Supervision addresses these issues while assisting organisations in complying with demanding security regulations such as the EU's NIS2 Directive. The service offers Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise customers a user-friendly platform that provides comprehensive visibility of all network devices at no additional cost. Key to this solution is the facilitation of software version management to help prevent security breaches.
The tool gives network teams visibility over their inventory, offering control over both managed and unmanaged devices and enabling organisations to anticipate updates and determine support needs.
Sebastien Baudribos, Vice President, Business Unit Services and Customer Care at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, commented: "With ALE Fleet Supervision, our customers gain a powerful tool for proactive, automated inventory management that streamlines compliance, enhances security, and supports business continuity. Whether managing a single site or a large-scale network, we are pleased to be offering our customers an effective tool for achieving operational excellence."
ALE Fleet Supervision provides a unified dashboard for monitoring all network devices, thus centralising visibility and control. It offers a detailed inventory view, encompassing model names, serial numbers, and service statuses, enabling administrators to remain organised and informed.
Service entitlement and lifecycle management features allow organisations to easily track maintenance schedules and contract compliance. Additionally, the platform suggests recommended software versions, vital when addressing security patches, and will soon be capable of pushing updates to non-compliant devices to ensure NIS2 compliance.
The real-time dashboard allows users to get status updates and monitor service entitlements, device lifecycle, and software compliance with instant insights, which aids in prioritising maintenance and enhancing network resilience.
ALE Fleet Supervision helps simplify network management and decrease operational costs by automating asset and software compliance tasks. It adds value to sites lacking a deployed Network Management System by ensuring integrated visibility and control across all network devices.
The solution is hosted and managed by Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise and is available immediately without requiring additional setup or subscriptions. Its scalable design supports up to 100,000 devices, making it adaptable to the increasing demands of expanding networks.
