Adobe unveils Acrobat AI Assistant for enterprise users
Adobe has revealed the launch of its Acrobat AI Assistant for enterprise customers, offering transformative features through an add-on subscription available across desktop, web, and mobile platforms.
The Acrobat AI Assistant is designed to unlock new levels of efficiency for every knowledge worker. It is a generative AI-powered conversational engine that integrates seamlessly into Acrobat workflows, enabling users to generate high-quality insights from their documents. These insights come with intelligent citations, empowering users to quickly compose emails, reports, presentations, and more, all based on their document information. Meanwhile, robust data security protocols ensure the features' safety and privacy. Importantly, no customer document content is used to train the Acrobat AI Assistant.
Abhigyan Modi, the Senior Vice President of Adobe Document Cloud, mentioned the potential of this tool to change the enterprise landscape. "For more than three decades, PDFs and Adobe Acrobat have been a cornerstone of communication and collaboration in the enterprise, and with generative AI, we're redefining productivity for every single employee," he said. Modi highlighted that the Acrobat AI Assistant could dramatically reduce the time spent reading and searching for information, allowing employees to develop insights faster and significantly reduce the time spent creating content.
The new AI assistant integrates several exciting features. Users can now chat with the assistant to receive answers based on a document's content, generate quick summaries of the content inside long documents, and utilise Adobe's unique attribution engine and proprietary AI to verify the source of the AI Assistant's answers. Further, users can easily navigate through lengthy documents using clickable links and consolidate information into takeaways, which can then easily be formatted into various business content formats such as emails, blog posts, reports, and presentations.
Kamal Bhadada, President of TCS Interactive and NBMG, commented on the impressive early results of the AI tool. "In early evaluations, our content team reduced the amount of time on common tasks significantly using Acrobat AI Assistant for identifying insights from keynotes, workshops, and meetings," he said.
Adobe ensures that data privacy and security are well-catered to by the AI assistant. The assistant operates with streamlined AI data governance and enhanced reliability backed by Adobe's award-winning Liquid Mode. Furthermore, Adobe has set contractually obligated measures for third parties to adhere to confidentiality and security protocols matching Adobe's standards. The Acrobat AI Assistant also utilises enterprise controls, rigorous data security protocols, and progressive AI ethics testing and reviews. These steps help create a trustworthy environment for users to fully harness the potential of the AI assistant.
Adobe is now offering early access pricing to enterprise customers with additional languages being added in the near future.
