8x8 supplies SMS API to Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Indonesia
8x8 has struck a deal with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Indonesia to provide communications platform as a service (CPaaS) for its mobile application.
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) Indonesia has onboarded 8x8’s SMS API to provide its distributors and retailers with a mobile order and delivery management platform.
CCEP Indonesia operates eight manufacturing facilities in Indonesia, which collectively serve more than 450,000 retail outlets.
With help from 8x8, the company recently launched an integrated digital app called Klik Toki for its business-to-business (B2B) customers in Indonesia.
8x8 created and deployed multi-factor authentication services for the Klik Toko app. The 8x8 SMS API enables this by verifying the user and sending a one-time password via an SMS message that the user must enter to access their account.
8x8 CPaaS managing director Olivier Gerhardt says organisations are improving customer engagement to meet the demands of a mobile-first economy.

CCEP Indonesia marketing director Laksman Peiris says that customers are the most important part of its business, so it wants to make sure they have a fast and superior experience.
Klik Toko is one of the most crucial elements of its transformation because it makes it easier for its partners to do business with the company, Peiris explains.
“The partnership with 8x8 enhances Klik Toko’s security while accelerating and automating user verification. In addition, this delivers a great onboarding experience, allowing users to securely use the app and gain the benefits offered through Klik Toko.”
Peiris believes that the key to building strong engagement and communications with partners is a safe, well-designed app with collaboration capabilities.

8x8 also provides a range of as-a-service API, chat, contact centre, video, and voice communications through its global cloud platform.
