RingQ & Snom forge global cloud telephony partnership

Fri, 9th Jan 2026

US-based cloud communications provider RingQ has formed a global technology partnership with German IP phone maker Snom as the two companies seek to align hardware and cloud telephony for business customers.

The agreement follows interoperability testing between Snom IP phones and the RingQ cloud-based PBX service. The companies said the tests enabled configuration that requires minimal manual work by administrators.

The partnership covers organisations that deploy Snom desk phones alongside RingQ's cloud communications platform. It applies to customers of all sizes and in all geographies where the two firms are active.

RingQ positions itself as a customer-focused cloud communications and contact centre platform provider. Snom is a long-established developer of professional IP telephony hardware based in Berlin and part of VTech Group.

Interoperability focus

The collaboration centres on full interoperability between Snom handsets and RingQ's cloud platform. RingQ will support both automatic and manual provisioning of Snom devices. This gives businesses a choice of deployment methods across headquarters sites and remote locations.

The companies said this approach supports fast deployment in new offices or branches. It also gives IT teams the option of centralised device management for distributed workforces.

RingQ indicated that the arrangement allows customers to use a wider mix of desk phone models while maintaining a single cloud communications environment. Snom gains another certified cloud PBX partner for its installed base and channel network.

Manikandan Chockalingam, CEO at RingQ, said the agreement broadens end-customer options.

"Partnering with Snom allows RingQ to offer customers more choice, greater flexibility, and premium call experiences," said Manikandan Chockalingam, CEO at RingQ. "Together, we are delivering a secure and fully integrated communications solution that empowers businesses to scale confidently, enhance customer engagement, and communicate more efficiently."

The partnership is now live with support for a selection of Snom's most widely used desk phone models. These include devices that Snom positions for professional office use with an emphasis on audio quality, reliability and ergonomic design.

The firms plan to add further Snom models over time. They also plan new integrations between the IP phones and RingQ's software platform through updates released as the relationship develops.

Channel and partner strategy

Snom has built its business through specialist resellers and distributors in Europe and other regions. RingQ sells its cloud service through partners that integrate telephony and customer communications with wider IT and network services.

Both companies said they see the alliance as a way to offer a combined proposition through their respective channels. They aim to present a unified telephony and cloud communications stack that channel partners can package and support for end customers.

Fabio Albanini, Senior Vice President Sales & Operations, EMEA & APAC at Snom, said the two firms have worked closely in recent months.

"Over the past months, our partnership has grown noticeably stronger. We are delighted by how swiftly RingQ succeeded in integrating our desk phone solutions," said Fabio Albanini, Senior Vice President Sales & Operations, EMEA & APAC. "We look forward to further strengthening our successful partnership!"

Snom said it aims to maintain seamless integration with a range of IP-based telephony platforms. It already lists interoperability with multiple PBX vendors. The RingQ arrangement extends that list in the cloud communications segment.

Cloud telephony demand

Demand for cloud-based PBX and customer communications has grown as businesses replace legacy on-premise systems. Many organisations continue to require physical desk phones in offices, call centres and hospitality settings, which has sustained interest in SIP and IP handsets that connect directly to cloud services.

RingQ offers software tools for business telephony, collaboration and customer interaction through its cloud platform. Snom develops desk phones, cordless IP devices, conferencing equipment and specialised handsets for industrial and hospitality use.

The two companies said they intend to extend their joint work beyond initial interoperability. They plan ongoing feature development, wider device support and enhancements that address the needs of channel partners and shared customers.

They also plan a programme of updates that will add integrations between RingQ's cloud service and additional Snom product lines over time.

RingQ and Snom said they will continue to refine their joint telephony offering as customer requirements and working patterns evolve.
