Confluent has appointed Kamal Brar as Senior Vice President of Global Partners and Technology Group, alongside Greg Taylor as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Asia-Pacific (APAC). The moves come as the company focuses on expanding its global partner ecosystem and strengthening its presence in the APAC region.
Leadership transitions
Brar steps into his new global role after previously leading Confluent's sales across APAC and Japan. With more than twenty years of experience in partnership and customer success roles at technology firms such as Oracle, IBM, and MongoDB, Brar is set to lead global partner collaboration and technology alliances. Taylor will now take over the regional role, charged with managing commercial operations and growth across APAC markets.
Partner ecosystem
The newly formed Global Partners and Technology Group, under Brar's leadership, will focus on enhancing collaboration with cloud service providers, system integrators, independent software vendors, managed service providers, and organisations working within Confluent's OEM programme. The aim is to strengthen the alignment between Confluent and its technology partners, expanding customer access to data streaming solutions worldwide.

APAC focus
Greg Taylor brings a background in revenue growth and cloud technologies through prior roles at Databricks, New Relic, and Oracle. He has experience building businesses across the Asia-Pacific region and has also served on the board of WhiteSky Labs. Taylor's remit at Confluent will be to further growth and adoption of the company's data streaming platform within diverse APAC markets, supporting customers as they implement real-time data strategies.
